El Grillo Azul- Vegetarian Salamanca

Your body may crave fiber sometime on a long trip to Spain.
You may also seek a space that isn't cigarette smoke laden.
A vegetarian paella made with brown rice, sea vegetables, peas, mushrooms, almonds and artichoke. Tasty! you won't encounter the artificial yellow coloring in this one.
Your gazpacho soup here is made with beets to give it the pretty pink color. Smooth and light. Suave!
Shawn ordered savory crepes with spinach, pine nuts and raisins. Overall, this restaurant got my thumbs up: friendly staff, good service, high quality food, no cigarette butts or smoke in your food.

Do You See the Saint's Arm in the Box?

You may be able to notice the saint's arm in the metal box in the picture above. It was well preserved with skin intact. It had been preserved for some reason that a non-religious person such as myself couldn't comprehend.

Churros with Chocolate Fria

You may have heard of churros- the absolutely Spanish donut served piping hot and dunked in some thick chocolate. Here in Salamanca, you-- the tourist will encounter tourist prices and rip offs within the city walls. This includes the price of churros con chocolate.
Regardless, the churros con chocolate will bring you the needed energy and a sweet descansa (rest) to do even more sight seeing.
